Welcome to the tribe all new backers! One third of the way through the campaign, and we are doing phenomenally well!

Cautiously Approaching a Mammoth

Just to catch you up on some things we're doing, there's a Social Stretch Goal section currently working to add a Taming the Mammoth Event to the game. Once that's complete, a Tar Pits hex tile is next!

We've reached some recent goals, but we need 2 more to achieve the Mammoth Event. The easiest of these are the photos. Break out some meeples, step outside, and tweet @breaking_games or post to our Facebook Group some photos of meeples in nature. Here are a few we've recently received.

 Another goal is to take images of Letter Tycoon (Brad Brook's previous game design) and spell out something having to do with the stone age.

We're getting close to the arrowhead stretch goal! I really love these.

Thank you so much for your support! We already punched through 2000 backers on our Social Goals, and we're on our way to the next stage for our Facebook Group! Your involvement on the boardgamegeek site has boosted us up on the Hotness, and our cover is on the Hot Images! My tribe is so awesome.

6 Pack Deluxe Tier Added

We've been getting requests for larger groups to buy more than one copy of Rise of Tribes. We have now updated the tiers to include a 6 pack of the Deluxe version. It took us a while to get all the numbers for shipping and manufacturing to line up right so it was a benefit to backers as well, but we have it now.

2 Games: We've had requests about getting just 2 games. We are still crunching those numbers, but will let you know soon. Stay tuned.

Entering a New Land

First Day

Wow. We are all just floored by the full support and enthusiasm all of you have given us so far! We reached funding in just under the first hour. Right now, as I write this, we've blown past the first three stretch goals. We're working hard to keep up!

We're working to update graphics and artwork as stretch goals are met. While all of the art for the game is completed, some of the art work for the stretch goals are still being refined. We will post updates soon revealing those as we get them.

Stretch Goals Achieved So Far

There's a lot to cover on how the Canoe, walls, volcano, new tribe, and custom meeples work! So, we're going to address all that in the next update coming soon.

Moving Forward

We are moving fast and there's a lot to discuss, but we also want to make sure we don't spam our backers daily. We will definitely have more to discuss very soon, and go into detail about how these stretch goals work.

In the first day we've funded and passed four incredible stretch goals! We're blown away here at AdMagic/Breaking Games. You guys came out in full force!

Our First Stretch Goal: Canoe and Walls

We crossed our first stretch goal so quickly, we didn't even have time to tell you about the Canoe and Walls.

Canoe and Walls are a new type of event where players can purchase upgrades to their tribes' abilities and powers. The resource cost of the upgrades goes down every time a player rolls doubles, so players have to balance trying to get the best cost for the upgrades and risking the other players purchasing the card first.

If no players purchase the upgrade in time, it fades back into the mist and is discarded. 

Canoes allow you to move through lakes for free, while Walls offer your villages an extra layer of protection against attack.

Our Next Goal: Sabertooth

I can't wait to unlock this deadly cat! With a Sabertooth Tiger stalking tribes, you're going to feel the theme of this game even more. Try to avoid the predator or send hunters to their deaths in order to get closer to victory!

Growing the Tribe

You guys know, the more backers that jump on board with us, the more we can expand and enhance the game. We will be creating posts and asking you to share them, but today, please, in your own words, tell your friends and family, share on social media, and shout to the world about Rise of Tribes! Tribe vs the Volcano

Welcome new members of the tribe! We just hit $80K and over 1200 backers! Your enthusiasm and ideas are overwhelming. We can't thank you enough.

Speaking of ideas, a great many of them are being given over in our comments section. Hope you'll join us just to tell us which tribe you would play first, what color meeple you would play with, ask us questions, or share ideas about what you want to see next in future stretch goals! Speaking of stretch goals...

The Volcano

When the Event first occurs, the tile is added – bordering the map where the active player has meeples. Now, the volcano erupts! (oh no!). Tribes nearby gain stone, but may lose meeples depending on the doubles rolled. The volcano event is mixed back into the deck, and a subsequent pull causes another eruption, so watch out. Good news though – the tiles bordering the volcano gain flexibility and can produce stone for your tribe. Is that worth the risk?
